Short answer
Singing Coach AI is an AI vocal coaching app built by Levy Street for iPhone, Android and the web. A singer records or uploads a short clip, the app scores it across 26 vocal dimensions such as pitch accuracy, breathing and range, builds a running profile of their voice, and gives plain-language next steps, coach chat and song recommendations matched to their range.
- More than 36,000 people have used it to learn to sing (October 2026).
- Feedback arrives within a minute or two of singing.
- Model training on users’ recordings is opt-in and off by default.
- Available in nine languages, with a free plan and paid subscriptions.

The problem
Good vocal coaching is expensive and hard to schedule, and generic exercises do not know your voice. Singers who practise alone have no reliable way to hear what they are doing wrong or to track whether they are improving. Singing Coach AI makes detailed, personal feedback available from a phone.
How it works
- Sing or upload. Record a 30 to 60 second clip in the app, or upload an MP3, WAV or M4A file.
- Get a full read. The recording is scored across 26 vocal dimensions, from pitch accuracy and breathing to vibrato, agility and belting power, plus a read on genres that suit the voice.
- Build a profile. Each analysis updates the singer’s Vocal DNA: range and tessitura over time, strengths, weaknesses and artists with a similar sound.
- Practise with a coach. An AI coach chat, by text or voice note, answers questions with exercises matched to the profile, and a song library suggests songs that fit the singer’s range and level.

Engineering for audio, not just text
Most business AI works with text. Singing Coach AI shows a different side of what Levy Street builds: an audio analysis pipeline wrapped in a consumer product people choose to pay for. That means caring about things text products can ignore:
- Signal quality
- Phone microphones, background noise and room echo all affect pitch and tone measurements.
- Turnaround
- Analysis that returns in a minute or two keeps practice flowing; longer and people stop recording.
- Explainability
- A score means nothing without a reason and a next step a singer understands.
- Trust
- Recordings are personal. Training on them is opt-in and off by default.
The same disciplines apply to business voice systems, from transcription to voice agents. Our guide to voice agent quality evaluation covers measurement, and product feedback loops covers learning from users without breaking their trust.
