What MOGGED does
MOGGED is, in its own words, “a small Wellington studio that would rather be useful than impressive”. It designs and builds websites, runs SEO and AI search optimisation, and manages Google Ads and Meta Ads for small businesses: tradies, clinics, law firms, online stores and more. Around a third of its clients are outside Wellington, some in Australia.

AI-fast, human-finished
MOGGED is where Levy Street’s AI tooling meets everyday small-business marketing. Internal agents and systems handle the work that used to make agencies slow:
- Research
- Keyword demand, competitor pages and how search engines and AI assistants currently answer a client’s market.
- Drafting
- First drafts of page structures, copy and ad variations, built from the client’s real material.
- Testing
- Performance, accessibility and technical search checks on every build.
- Measurement
- Search visibility, AI citations and enquiries tracked separately, so results are reported honestly.
People make the calls: positioning, design, final copy and what goes live. That split is the same one we recommend to any business adopting AI for content, covered in our lesson on creating a source-checked content draft.
How MOGGED improves visibility in AI search answers
AI search optimisation, also called answer engine optimisation (AEO) or generative engine optimisation, is the work of making a business the source that search engines and AI assistants quote when people ask about its field. For New Zealand businesses, MOGGED’s approach applies the same methods used on this site:
- Measure the starting point. A fixed set of real customer questions is put to AI search tools, and which businesses are named and which pages are cited is recorded, separately from normal rankings.
- Answer the questions directly. Pages lead with a short, quotable answer, use the questions customers actually ask as headings, and back claims with sources.
- Make the business easy to identify. Consistent name, location and services across the website, structured data and public profiles, so AI systems connect the business to the right topics.
- Keep the site fast and crawlable. Clean HTML, real 404 pages, a sitemap, and no content hidden behind scripts.
- Re-measure. The same questions are asked again on a schedule, and citations, rankings and enquiries are reported separately.
No agency can guarantee that an AI assistant will recommend a business. The honest promise is measurement, better answers and steady work on the signals AI systems use.
Why Levy Street runs a digital studio
Running MOGGED gives Levy Street something most AI consultancies lack: a business that depends on AI systems every day, with real clients and real deadlines. It is where internal tools get tested before they are recommended to anyone else. It is also the right home for search and advertising work, which keeps Levy Street focused on engineering.
